TOUCHDOWN TECHS WIN!!!




Our Fall Meeting was a great success!!  We learned about MH and other anesthia emergancies (includung OR FIRES!) from John Mace, CRNA.  We then got to have some interactive fun as we explored teamwork and difference personalities in the OR with Nikki Johnson, CRNP.  After that, Dr. Rony Najjar entertained us as he expalined the truama system and what it takes to be a successful part of an OR trauma team.  After lunch, Dr. Madanagopal (AKA Dr. Su) explained the basics of fracture management and the methods used to deal with fractures.  Stryker Orthopedics brought in several trauma trays for us to experience some hands-on with some of the methods Dr. Su talked about.  Our final session was our own Dennis Davis, CST/CSFA speaking about the importance of the overlooked topic of smoke evacuators.  Add in breakfast from Chik-fil-a and lunch dfrom local bar-b-que, we had a WINNING day of fun and learning!!



We held our Spring Meeting at Oak Mountain State Park on March 11th.
We had great speakers and held our elections for President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Board Member Positions. (Results will be posted ASAP!)

We were joined by a great group of students who will be graduating this spring.
For students who have not attended a meeting, meetings offer a great sourse of networking and allow you to get exposure to how different facilities work with CST's.
