AST General Membership Information

  • Since 1969, AST has been a national organization that focuses on the needs and professional interests of surgical technologists has grown to include more than 36,000 members. The organization has remained out in front to ensure quality patient care through continuing education and protect the right to practice by seeking legislation to require mandatory graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program and certification as an entry to practice.
